The WGSD-1020's two (2) Gigabit copper interfaces run at all speeds from 10Mbps up to 1000Mbps, providing up to ten times Fast Ethernet speed without requiring new wiring. IEEE802.3x, full-duplex flow control eliminates packet loss in heavy traffic conditions, and eight (8) 10/100Mbps ports with auto-MDI/MDI-X detection provide ease of connectivity regardless of the type of device connected.
In addition, the WGSD-1020 also supports 2 Ethernet Gigabit ports to uplink to a server or network backbone. The WGSD-1020 is designed for Plug and Play installation, allows the network administrator to simply connect the network and power cables and the Switching/bridging functions begin automatically.
An 8K MAC address table, 2 Megabit shared buffer, plus wire-speed forwarding, runt and CRC filtering helps to process packets efficiently even in heavy traffic.
The managed WGSD-1020 features Web and SNMP management capability to allow management across the network. Functions such as VLAN, QoS, RMON, Port Trunking, Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree IGMP and more no longer require a 19-inch switch, bringing true enterprise class management ability to desktop switching.
