PLANET VIP-110 not only remains toll-quality voice communications and real-time fax data over IP networks, but also offers Internet sharing capabilities with other LAN users.
With optimized H.323 and routing architecture, PLANET VIP-110 is ideal for P2P voice chat, ITSP cost-saving solution, but also provide Internet sharing features, such as Virtual server, policy based access control, QoS and DMZ support; with these add-on features, users now may enjoy smooth voice chatting and secure Internet access without interfering routine activities. With built-in PPPoE / DHCP / DDNS clients, voice communication can be established from anywhere around the world.
Furthermore, VIP-110 provides PSTN backup functionality, which can automatically switch to PSTN line whenever there is power failure in the network.
PLANET VIP-110 comes with intuitive user-friendly, yet powerful management interface (web/telnet/console), that can dramatically reduce IT personnel resource, and complete VoIP deployment in a short time, plus remote management capability, VoIP administrators can monitor machine/network status, or proceed maintenance/trouble-shooting service via Internet browser or telnet session.
Key Features
Standards compliant & Surpassing voice quality PLANET VIP-110 is H.323 standard version 3 compliant (including H.323 faststart mode). VIP-110 is interoperable with 3rd party voice gateways as well as other PLANET VoIP products. Retaining excellent traditions in PLANET VoIP products, VIP-110 prioritizes voice packets using IP precedence, and combine state-of-the-art technology of voice packet handling, including echo, noise reduction, voice reconstruction and redundancy to provide customers toll quality VoIP communication.
VoIP, FoIP and Network conversion Via configurable voice codec: G.723, G.729ab, G.711mu and FAX: T.30, T.38, VIP-110 supports for multiple algorithms to meet different VoIP application demands. VIP-110 support converting telephony protocols into packet switching network between calling and called voice gateways, in a heterogeneous signal-switching environment.
PSTN backup functionality Whenever there is power failure, VIP-110 automatically switches to the PSTN line, maintaining the regular PSTN voice communication.
Domain name call & DDNS supports Either IP or URL addressing, VIP-110 is able to find, and communicate with destination H.323 gateway/terminal. Meanwhile, DDNS service is very useful to those VoIP gateways deployed in a dynamic IP environment. Collaborate connection agents (PPPoE, or DHCP clients), built-in DDNS client in VIP-110 can help those who don't have static IP address to map dynamic IP address to an easy-to-remember URL, and this will allows other 3rd party voice gateways/terminal to allocate position of VIP much easier than ever. (To establish voice communication via domain name, please make sure the other party gateway/terminal supports domain name call.)
Internet sharing, Easy setup and network administration Via internal PPPoE/DHCP/fixed IP allocation agents, VIP-110 establishes Internet access via single user account, and share Internet resource with everyone on your office network. Via intuitive user interface, network administrator/IT personnel can complete Internet connection just in minutes! System administrators can logon machine locally from LAN or remotely check machine/network status and start administration or trouble-shooting from anywhere around the world.
NAT Optimization, Firewall policy packet filtering and QoS mechanism VIP-110 provides user definable policy-based firewall protection, and packet filtering mechanism to prevent business or residential network from malicious attacking or hacking. The firewall policy offers VoIP administrators access control privilege choices to apply on LAN users Internet access or prevent office workers improper Internet usages.
Virtual Server, DMZ & Internet applications capability With Virtual server, special applications, and DMZ features, VIP-110 shares the LAN resources to Internet users, and provide various Internet application compatibility in a more convenient way.
