This Intelligent Media Converter with an internal power supply and slim housing design is ideal for installation in locations with limited space. The Intelligent WFT-20X converter supports conversion between 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX networks, and is available with ST or SC fiber connectors, and allows connection over Multi-Mode fiber up to 2km or an option Single-Mode version up to 15km. It connects to the copper network with an auto- MDI/MDIX RJ-45 connector, and provides diagnostic LEDs for ease of identification of network problems.
This powerful device is managed and configured via Telnet, Web or console or via an SNMP agent. Using this management interface the link status may be monitored, and Auto-Negotiation/Forced modes, FDX/HDX modes, speed, Flow control for copper and FDX/HDX mode for fiber may be configured. Management functionality and SNMP traps help reduce the amount of valuable time that a network administrators spends detecting and locating network problems otherwise requiring visual inspection of cabling and equipment.
