The gadget delivers data at speeds up to 54Mbps, 5 times data rate than 802.11b. It can operate in Infrastructure mode or Ad-hoc mode based on your needs.
WL-8313 provides 360 degrees' coverage of wireless access by employing a detachable dipole antenna, which can be replaced with any types of external antennas to better signal strength, link quality and enhance signal coverage range. Support of 64 and 128-bit WEP encryption plus WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) high-level encryption keeps your wireless network from unauthorized access and ensures secure data transfer.
WL-8313 is backward compatible with 802.11b products, allowing interoperability with any Wi-Fi-certified wireless 802.11b/g products.
